Armenian Genocide Commemoration at Jerusalem Hebrew University
YOAV LEV, Head of Hebrew University Armenian Studies Program, reads Ezekiel's the Valley of Dry Bones, in Armenian. The Hebrew University hosted a symposium commemorating the 99th anniversary of the Armenian genocide perpetrated by the Ottomans in World War I against the Christians of Anatolia. Since 1923 Turkey denies allegations. Israel has not formally acknowledged the genocide for fear of further severing diplomatic relations with Turkey.
