F-35 Fighter Jet Delivery Delayed in Israel
Nevatim Airbase, Israel. 12th December, 2016. Thousands assembled for what was to be a ceremony welcoming the first two, of a planned fleet of fifty, Lockheed Martin F-35 Stealth Fighter Jets, nicknamed 'Adir' (Hebrew for 'mighty'), at the Nevatim Airbase in the Negev. 'Mighty' jets were delayed for hours at a refueling stop in Italy due to fog. Jets, when they arrive and become operational, are expected preserve Israel's strategic air supremacy for decades to come in the Middle East and beyond.
