The Stone Forest, Petrodasos, is a natural monument with rocky formations with superimposed horizontal layers of stone. Zagori is a mountainous region in Epirus, in northwestern Greece. It has an area of some 1,000 square kilometers and contains 46 villages known as Zagori villages (Zagorochoria or Zagorohoria).
