Amidst a nationwide wave of protest for better housing opportunities and tent cities popping up around the country, Dalya camps out at the Ministry of Construction and Housing for her survival. This mother of two and her family have been on the streets for 18 months since being evicted from an apartment in Tel-Aviv where she resided for twenty years. "I was thrown out into the street. No one is willing to help me" she pleads. Dalya claims the social welfare authorities are aware of her situation but not willing to help.
Dalya's oldest son (18) is 100% disabled and currently living with a cousin because he cannot endure the conditions dictated by living in a tent. Her younger son (12) requires special education facilities and is currently camping out with his mother at the Ministry of Construction and Housing in Jerusalem. Now in their second week at this location, Minister Ariel Atias came out to greet them only once. It was not a greeting says Dalya "He came to tell us to go! And that nothing would come of our protest".
