Families have joined the wave of protests sweeping the country. The "Stroller Protest" set out from Prime Minister Netanyahu's residence to the tent-city at Menorah Park, protesting the rising cost of living. Jerusalem, Israel. 31 July 201
PM Netanyahu is definitely feeling the pressure and considering concrete steps to ease the burden on the public including a reduction of fuel prices, electricity and taxes. Minister of Interior Eli Ishay proposed to cancel the Knesset summer break in light of the wave of protest sweeping the country. The General Security Services have instructed to beef up the PM's personal security. General Manager of Finance Ministry, Chaim Shani, turned in his resignation this morning to Minister Yuval Shteinitz. Critics say Shani is nothing more than PM Netanyahu's first scapegoat.
