Holy Sepulchre Church Closed in Protest in Jerusalem, Israel
Jerusalem, Israel. 26th February, 2018. Worshipers pray outside the closed doors of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. In a rare move, despite a continual dispute between the Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Armenian churches that run it, religious leaders indefinitely closed the Holy Sepulchre Church to protest a recent bill passed by Israeli parliament that would allow expropriation of lands sold by churches to private real estate buyers a well as plans to end the municipal tax exemption for church owned properties in Jerusalem.
