Jerusalem, Israel. 17th April, 2018. The Israel Air Force rehearses for the Independence Day airshow flying over the Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Israel will celebrate its 70th Day of Independence 19th April, 2018. The monastery, consecrated in the 4th century under Constantine the Great, built in the 11th century, traditionally erected on the burial spot of Adam's head, enshrines an ancient tradition that pine, fir and cypress branches planted by Lot, grew miraculously into one tree (Isaiah 60:13). It is this tree from which the cross of Jesus was made.
