Jerusalem, Israel. 8th August, 2018. Under the patronage of DEI, German Protestant Institute of Archaeology, excavations are underway on Mt. Zion in the area of the Anglican Prussian Protestant Cemetery including the so called Essenes Gate, focusing on the inside areas of the city walls and the settlement of ancient Jerusalem between the 8th century BC and 747 AD.
